Steam can be used to manage any other installed games. While it won’t work with all AAA games, most AAA games will work. You can use Steam to manage your games if another portal offers a sale or if you just want to play with friends.
Start Steam and choose Games from the top menu.
Select “Add a nonsteam game to my library.”
Choose the game you wish to add to Steam.
You can add the code to Steam to play a newly purchased game.

Save your Save Games
It turns out that Steam doesn’t back up all games. Some games don’t allow Steam backups, or they don’t work at all. So you save games may seem safe, but they might not be. You can backup your saved games as well.
Go to your Library by opening Steam.
Choose the game that you wish to backup.
Right-click to select Backup Game Files
In the pop-up box, enter the destination.

Move steam to a different drive.
You can move your Steam installation to take advantage of the SSD’s extra speed if you just bought one. Although it isn’t always as simple as you might think, it can be done. While you can move your games individually, I find it easier to move the whole package.

Remove Steam from the original drive.
Install a fresh copy of Steam on your new drive.
